Your responsibilities will include:


Reporting to the Vice President And Regional Chief Executive, Asia & India, the Global Business Development International Director, SE Asia, will lead a variety of business development activities with a particular emphasis on government/customer relationships, strategy development and office leadership within the SEA region. This leader will also be responsible for managing Country Leads of the various countries in SEA (Indonesia and the Philippines), including driving performance and ensuring objectives are met.


Other responsibilities (not limited to) include:

  • Developing enterprise international strategies, strategic plans, and execution initiatives intended to drive profitable international growth in SEA.
  • Leading the strategic development of relationships in SEA and partnering with LM Business Area (BA) executives and teams to drive business growth.
  • Creating competitive advantages through new initiatives and creative business models that exceed customer and partner expectations while increasing LM profitable growth.
  • Driving enterprise-wide integration with BAs, Corporate Strategy and Business Development, CETO, LM Government Affairs and LMI colleagues to support growth objective.
  • Championing “OneLM” mindset and build strong team collaboration and advocating for LM’s position and interests through active memberships within key industry organizations
  • Providing LM’s Business Areas with a clear and understanding of changing customer needs and expectations in terms of capabilities, technologies, requirements and their impact on capture / contract content and delivery
  • Coordinating with GBDI regional headquarters to ensure alignment with broader international strategy and Long-Range Plan.


About you:

Our ideal candidate will a significant experience and ability in relations to international business and customer relations experience (preferably in Asia Pacific region), and leading diverse and high performing teams. You have outstanding verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills with strong executive presence and have skills/demonstrated experience in:


  • Ability to manage relationships with executives, leaders and experts from Executive Leadership Team to subject matter experience in the BAs and functions and navigate complex organizational issues, as well as managing competing interests of multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiar with the international Aerospace & Defense industry business segments, customers, competitors and markets. Spearheading and driving corporate strategic goals and priorities.
  • Leading, managing and influencing customer focus teams; as well as leading enterprise strategy projects involving participants from across BAs and functions.
  • Delivering international strategies for decision making and ability to engage industrial partners/stakeholders to develop innovative business models and new business initiatives.
  • Ability to select, structure and lead engagements with outside consultants to deliver new insights and competitive value to the corporation.
  • Prior LM experience leading and implementing strategy initiatives and experience living and working outside of home country are highly desirable.
